SARAH MILLS

Sarah Mills is a graduate of Louisiana State University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in English with a writing concentration. She has over 15 years of experience writing for oil and gas Fortune 500 companies and has extensive knowledge of the energy industry. Sarah is a contributing writer for Energies Media and also serves as an adjunct professor for McNeese State University’s Institute for Industry Education, where she teaches local industry best practices of technical documentation.

She is a past president of The Children’s Museum of Southwest Louisiana and served on its executive board of directors for seven years.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication and has extensive experience as an English Language Arts teacher.  Thriving in collaborative environments and working closely with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to implement effective strategies, Kate possesses a broad range of content creation capabilities. In her over 10 years of experience, she has created lesson plans, instructional guides, assessment tools, step-by-step procedures, and curriculum outlines – work that directly correlates to technical writing by requiring clarity, structure, and audience awareness. These skills have made a seamless transition into the technical documentation required for the energy sector.
